The media had slammed the so-called study tour of the SP ministers by calling it as only a 'wasteful expenditure' and that too, at the time, when their state was going through the turmoil caused by the Muzaffarnagar communal riots last year.
The victims of the communal clashes are still living in relief camps in pitiable conditions in the severe cold weather.
After their study tour is over, its result will be out within four months, and it won't be declared either by the party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav or the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, but by the "people of Uttar Pradesh".
Now, the people of UP should issue an 'ultimatum' to the ruling party that within four months, they should implement the findings of the study conducted during the foreign tour, otherwise be ready to be held accountable.
And if the SP Party fails to do so, then it should also forget about the dream of winning Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Azam Khan has claimed that during the foreign tour, the ministers and MLAs learned how to produce electricity by recycling the garbage.
People of Uttar Pradesh will decide the verdict of the future of the SP govt.
There are more than thousands of households in the villages of Uttar Pradesh, where electricity does not come for weeks. And even if it comes, then comes in the odd hours when people can not utilize it.
In next four months, these people will decide the fate of the ruling party. The ball is now in the court of the people of UP.
The SP government can at least lay-the foundation for the electricity-generating plant, so that it can win the 'lost' faith of their people.
Another pertinent question related to the SP government's study tour is that why didn't it send the engineers to take up such an important study tour, so that, they could have understood the basics as well as the technicalities of the whole procedure of producing electricity from wastage along-with the officials who could have executed the entire plan.
Well, now what can be done is that Akhilesh Yadav should hold a 'test' of these ministers to know what they actually learnt from the study. Otherwise, another option can be that these 17 ministers can at least give lecture on their study tour so that they can disseminate their knowledge to the students of the universities of UP.
It is a well-known fact that the UP government is not going to put their ministers through any test or ask them to conduct any lecture in collges. But, the opposition party BSP can take this issue to tear into the SP government.
Akhilesh had justified that "not only the government, some of the ministers and MLAs spent their own money as well during the foreign tour".
Now, only the people of Uttar Pradesh will decide the verdict of the future of the SP government after four months when they will exercise their right to vote by pressing the button of the EVMs.
