Rahul Gandhi's poll strategy now includes 'beautiful women'

Rahul smitten with North-East beauty
Bangalore, March 20: The pre-election battle for the Lok Sabha election is heating up and politicians are travelling to every nook and corner of the country, trying to woo voters in every possible way that they can.

Whether it is BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi reaching out to the chai wallas and locals with his 'Chai Pe Charcha' programme, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal taking the door-to-door campaigns and the mohalla sabhas or Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi interacting with NGOs, locals, labour community as a part of the party's outreach programme, political parties are leaving no stone unturned.

However, amidst all this Rahul Gandhi suddenly seems to be giving a whole new angle to his political campaign. Recently on his trip to Arunachal Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, where he addressed two rallies in the respective states, seems that Rahul Gandhi was bowled over by the beautiful ladies of the region.

When he addressed a rally in Himachal Pradesh on Mar 18, he praised the women there and said: "The women here are very beautiful. All of India should get inspired by the way you treat women," he said.

Rahul in Himachal: India should get inspired by the way you treat women

Even in his rally in Dharamshala on Thursday he said: "The people of this region, specially the women are very pretty. This place is beautiful." Rahul definitely bowled the women over in Dharamshala as video grabs show women whistling at him, when he removed his jacket during the rally. He even smiled to the whistles and responded with a smile saying: "Garmi lag rahi hai (am feeling hot)."

Call it a political strategy or genuine praise but the way Rahul spoke and praised women definitely raised a few eyebrows.

A few weeks back in an interview with PTI, he even said that 'if he found the right girl, he would get married.' Such statements definitely makes one wonder, whether he is smitten by the love bug or not.

Even when he hit out at the Opposition, Rahul said that the Congress would send BJP packing with love.

Though he addressed many rallies in the past few months in different parts of the country, no where did he praise the women so much or tone down his attack on the Opposition.

So is this Rahul Gandhi's new political strategy to woo the women population in the country or is he genuinely smitten with the beauty of the ladies, one probably may not know but if he is taking the peace and love route to woo the ladies before the elections, his female fan following is sure to expand.
