However, contrary to police's report, Gadkar told that she did not consume six pegs and did not pay a bill of Rs 6,000. Rather she had consumed two pegs and the bill was Rs 2,000, claimed the high-profile woman lawyer.

Fun for high-profile lawyer:

It was fun for Gadkar. She along with her two colleagues went to a restaurant in Mumbai to celebrate as they had bagged a big project. The lawyer was quoted as saying, "Instead of beer, for fun, I decided to have whisky that day. I had two pegs of Ballantine's Whisky and had dinner after that. Our total bill was around Rs 2,000. I paid the bill."

Later she dropped her colleagues at their homes and drove her Audi Q3 on Marine Drive for two hours.

According to reports, she might have driven her on the wrong lane for over 11 kilometres, before the Audi collided head-on with the taxi coming from the opposite direction.

Two of five people in taxi died. Such was the impact, that gas cutters had to be used to retrieve the driver's body from the badly mangled taxi, informed police officials.

Will she face Salman Khan-like fate?

Gadkar has been charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. She may be sent to jail for 10 years. But will she be sent to jail?

According to sources, Gadkar has appointed many well-known lawyers for herself. Will she too face Salman Khan-like fate?

Bollywood actor Salman Khan too was charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder. In 2002, the actor killed a person and injured many during a hit-and-run case.

Recently, a Mumbai court found him guilty. However, the actor is yet to be sent to jail as the Bombay High Court granted him bail.

Gadkar ruined two families:

One of the victims in the accident was Salim Sabuwala. He along with his family members went out for dinner on the ill-fated night.

The family members were celebrating as Sabuwala's son scored a 90% in the SSC examination.

But now their lives have been ruined. While Sabuwala was spot dead, his other family members were admitted to hospital with severe injuries.

Gadkar still has opportunity to escape from facing an stringent legal action, but the lives of the family members of the victims have been toppled.
