Indian Political League (IPL): Kejriwal to Delhi, sold!!!

By Sarath

It's hard to draw a parallel when it comes to politics and cricket. But we have seen cricketers scoring heavily in politics, by the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Mohammad Azharuddin .

The world cup cricket tournament has begun and the IPL auction on Monday added more spice to love for the game. Cricket enthusiasts were keenly awaiting to see who all makes the cut. Nation watched how franchisees bought players who they believe could do their job.

Kejriwal

Before the World Cup, the nation was into another game in Delhi, where Aam Aadmi Party's(AAP) Arvind Kejriwal slammed a swashbuckling unbeaten knock to take his party to power.

A week after, in IPL auction, Yuvraj Singh bagged another IPL deal with the Delhi Daredevils worth a whopping Rs 16 crore. Dinesh Karthik went to Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 10.50 crore. Hashim Amla, Sangakkara and Jayawardene are some other big names who went unsold.

If it was Indian Political League auction, lets see who all might have made it on their current form:

Delhi saw the 'Daredevil' stuff from AAP sweeping all others with their long 'jhadu'.

Despite being out of contention over an year, 'Yuvraj' Kejriwal's fortunes seem to be ever on the rise after getting a whopping 67 seats in Delhi assembly election, last week. The present form has made him the much sought after player.

One of the many marquee players in the fray, 'Yuvraj' Kejriwal, has been out of the mix of things in the political terrain for a while and was ignored by many after the 2014 Lok Sabha debacle.

The head-spinning election saw many first timers making an impression. Equally stunning buys might be uncapped domestic players -- Ashutosh, Atishi Marlena, Ashish Khaitan, who spear-headed the teams stunning victory over their arch rivals in recent Delhi tie.

There are many seasoned players like Manish Sisodia, veteran Yogendra Yadav and Somnath Bharati who could gain big in the auction.

The unsold players list may include many bigwigs. The prominent name will be that of Kiran Bedi, who was bought by her team as a pinch hitter in slog overs, failed to inspire the spectators as well the team mates, was eventually out in a googly.

The list of unsold players may include Satish Upadyay, Jagdish Mukhi, Vikram Biduri and Rambir Singh Biduri.

In the other dug out, which dropped to 'golden duck' this time, include Ajay Maken, Chaudhary Mateen Ahmed, Prahlad Singh Sawhney, Haroon Yusuf and Shoaib Iqbal.
