Bangalore, Oct 25: A high level provincial court on Friday upheld the life imprisonment sentence handed to the former Politburo Bo Xilai, rejecting his appeal against charges of corruption and abuse of power. The Shandong High People's court said that it affirmed the original sentence of life imprisonment.
Bo has been charged with bribery and helping in covering up the murder of a British businessman.
Meanwhile charges of US spying on its other foreign counterparts has not gone down well with the European countries. Germany's Angela Merkel expressed her displeasure.
