We all think that desi' people can roam anywhere in India as it is our country. They will not be debarred from entering any place within the country. But people who have this feeling will get a big shock after knowing about this incident.

An Israeli restaurant recently refused to serve an Indian who had gone there to dine out with his foreigner friend. The incident is of Himachal Pradesh where a restaurant 'Free Kasol' said no to a lady saying that the restaurant was for 'members only'.

Shockingly, the owner himself was an Indian. The whole incident was shared through a Facebook post by woman's friend Stephen Kaye later. The post became viral on the social media where people are still lashing out at the owner's discriminatory behavior.

Here is some text of the Facebook post where Kaye expressed his anger over the incident.

This restaurant in Kasol is called 'Free Kasol'. The freak asshole who runs it refuses to serve Indians. I walked in there with Ritika yesterday afternoon. They would not give her a menu claiming it was a 'members only' cafe.

The owner did not realise we were together, I then asked for the menu and he duly obliged. I pulled him up about his claim that it was members only and he decided to stick to this yarn. Conversation went like this.

"Why did you give me the menu then?" I asked him. "Because you asked to see it". "So once I had looked at it I would not have been able to place an order?" "That's right" he answered.

Obviously we were not convinced by the owner's explanation so asked a few puzzled looking diners if they had to show a membership card to walk into this cafe. Of course none of them had to do any such thing. I confronted the owner and accused him of blatant discrimination, he then tried to shoo me out and claimed loudly "it is my cafe and can do what I want!".

Here are some more such places in India where Indians can't make entry:

Uno-In Hotel (Bengaluru)

This hotel in Bengaluru was set up in 2012 to serve exclusively Japanese people in India. But after some serious complaints of racial discrimination, the hotel had to close down its service in 2014.

Free Kasol in Himachal Pradesh

An Israeli restaurant recently refused to serve an Indian who had gone there to dine out with his foreigner friend. A restaurant 'Free Kasol' in Himachal Pradesh said no to a lady saying that the restaurant was for 'members only' .

Some beaches in Goa

Reportedly, owners of some Goa beaches don't allow Indians. The owners' contention of such discrimination is that Indians are expert in making lusty gazes and by debarring Indians' entry, they are saving beachwear-clad foreign guests.

Pondicherry's beaches

Like Goa, Pondicherry's beaches are also popular for its splendor. But Indians are not allowed at these beaches which are surrounded by beautiful French and Indian architecture.

Hotel in Chennai

This former Nawab's residence was turned into a hotel in Triplicane (Chennai) but Indians can't enter this place. Reportedly, the hotel allows only those who possess a foreign passport.
