(In Pics) Nation gearing up for Diwali, Kali Puja
India is a land of festivals. And this month, we celebrate the festival of lights-Diwali. In pics, as India lightens up.
Diwali is a Hindu festival of lights that is being celebrated every year with huge pomp and show all over India. As the nation gears up for the festival with Diyas and crackers, Kolkata has more to 'joy'.
It is time for Kali puja, where Shakti is revered for her Supreme Power, thus symbolising the light over the dark, the goodness over the evil.
Late night preparations for the puja are commonplace in West Bengal, accentuated by food, fun and light. So, here are some pics of both the festivals.
