In Pics How the World Celebrated International Yoga Day
Yoga is a 5,000-year-old physical, mental and spiritual practice Having its origin in India, Which Aims to transform both body and mind.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing United Nations General Assembly in September 2014 had asked UN to adopt June 21st as International Day of Yoga. 175 nations, including USA, Canada and China co-sponsored the resolution. It had the highest number of co-sponsors ever for any UNGA Resolution of such nature.
In accordance with the request by the PM, UN on the 11th December 2014 declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga. Here are the tweets from across the globe where International Yoga Day was celebrated.
