The Hurriyat Conference in Jammu and Kashmir has spared no effort to stoke passions and ensure that the state has been on the boil for the past 50 days. Week after week the Hurriyat Conference issues a calendar of events for the week which has been one of the main reasons for the violence not subsiding.

Officials would say that unless the Hurriyat stops issuing such calendars, the violence will not subside in the Valley. Interestingly the three separatists are today under arrest after they had announced in today's programme that they would march towards the 14 corps of Indian Army at Badami Bagh, Srinagar and ask the GOC to vacate Jammu and Kashmir.
