Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the final leg of his recent three nation visit stopped at Saudi Arabia. He visited the nation to enhance the security and economic ties between the two nations.
Governor of Riyadh received Mr. Modi and upon arrival Mr. Modi was given ceremonial welcome.
PM meets L&T workers in Riyadh:
When PM Modi met L&T workers in Riyadh he appreciated the hard work put in by them. He said that India has potential and manpower that the world wants today.
Mr. Modi praised India by saying that earlier India was "one of the countries" in the world but now it is a "very important country".
While communicating with the L&T workers in Riyadh Mr. Modi informed them that government's e-migrate programme is to regularise migration and resource centre to benefit workers.
During his visit to the L&T workers' residential complex in Riyadh, PM Narendra Modi shared snacks with the workers present during the occasion. PM Modi later tweeted that this was a wonderful opportunity to interact with the workers and hear their thoughts and experiences.

PM meets King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud:
PM Modi met and held wide ranging talks with HM King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. PM Modi presents King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud a gold-plated replica of the Cheraman Juma Masjid in Kerala. Cheraman Juma Masjid is symbol of active trade relations between India and Saudi Arabia since ancient times.
He also met the Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.

India and Saudi Arabia issued joint statement during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Saudi Arabia.
PM Modi and King underlined the close and friendly bilateral ties and deep rooted shared history between two nations. Both the leaders discussed ways to increase people to people ties.
Both the leaders also emphasised on furthering bilateral strategic engagement in the areas of security and defence co-operation.
Also both the nations agreed to enhance cooperation to strengthen maritime security in the Gulf and the Indian Ocean regions.
Both the nations also decided to strengthen cooperation in combating terrorism both at the bilateral level and within multilateral system of the UN.
King Salman Bin Abdulaziz lauded PM Modi's #StartUpIndia, #MakeInIndia, #SmartCities and #SwachhBharat initiatives. PM Modi exhorted Saudi industries to invest in India.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia expressed keen interest in railways, roads, ports, and shipping sectors in India.
