AAP's tryst with sting operations
Ever since Arvind Kejriwal decided to split with activist Anna Hazare to form a political party in 2012, to fight corruption in the country, he and his party have resorted to numerous ways to fight the evil in the system.

One of the most common practises used by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to expose corrupt politicians is sting operations. Since the time AAP declared that it would contest the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections, there were alleged videos from AAP claiming that political parties were trying to poach its MLAs.

Recently AAP released another video claiming that AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya was being offered Rs 4 crore to joing BJP. Though the party claims there are several such sting operation videos that could expose the real truth, AAP too was left red-faced when caught in sting operations conducted by other parties/ media organisation.

Here is a look at all the sting operation details that AAP had to face-

Sept 8, 2014: AAP releases video alleging BJP indulging in horsetrading

AAP on Monday released a video that was a part of a sting operation conducted on senior BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar. AAP alleged that Dagar had offerred Rs 4 crore to AAP MLA Dinesh Mohaniya to join BJP.

BJP however refuted the claims and disowned Dagar, who is a senior member in the Delhi BJP unit.

AAP said that there were similar videos and they would release the videos soon.

Aug 23, 2014: AAP demands investigation in sting operation revealing threat to Kejriwal

AAP was shocked when a video from a sting operation showed a BJP leader talking about causing harm to Arving Kejriwal. AAP said that the video must be investigated thoroughly as Kejriwal was attacked several times during the Lok Sabha election campaigns. (Watch video here)

Jan 20, 2014: AAP's sting operation reveals brutal side of Delhi Police

Delhi Police was left red-faced when AAP released a video revealing the brutal side of them. In the video police officials are seen beating a man brutally and are seen pulling out his wallet. AAP had then claimed that the Delhi police was famous for extorting money from common man and had provided this video as proof.

Following this, the Delhi Police suspended three police officers who were seen in the video. (Watch video here)

Jan 6, 2014: AAP govt suspends three Delhi jal board officials

Just days after the AAP took charge of Delhi, a sting operation done by Headlines Today revealed three officials from the Delhi Jal Board taking bribe. The video showed extensive corruption in water and energy departments in Delhi government.

Following the sting operation, AAP government suspended all the officials who were caught taking bribe. (Watch video here)

Nov 21, 2013: AAP members Shazia Ilmi, Kumar Vishwas caught accepting funds

Just days before the Delhi Assembly election was scheduled, a sting operation showed AAP leaders Shazia Ilmi and Kumar Vishwas accepting donations in cash without proper receipt. Ilmi even said that she would adjust the the amount as salary for the party volunteers.

Following the expose, Ilmi offered to resign but the AAP rejected her resignation. (Watch video here)

AAP is struggling now to get back on its feet and is trying its best to bounce back in Delhi.
