Cape Town, Apr 27: Google continued its custom to change their logo in search engine home page to celebrate special days. The search engine giant painted an attractive Google doodle on South African search engine home page to celebrate the Freedom Day.

On Wednesday, Apr 27, South African Google users can see the Freedom Day doodle, which depicts the traditional culture of the African nations. On the new simple and beautiful doodle, Google painted a South African flag and also the brand name 'Google.'

Freedom Day is an annual celebration of South Africa's first non-racial democratic (post-apartheid) elections of 1994. The elections were the first non-racial national elections where everyone of voting age of over 18 from any race group including non-citizens were allowed to vote, no voters roll was used. Previously, under the apartheid regime, non-whites had only limited rights to vote.
