Dehradun, Oct 30: A Congress MLA from Uttarakhand on Wednesday said that using guns is in his blood since he belongs to a royal family and customs matters more for him than the law and he will continue to follow them.

Kunwar Pranav Singh 'Champion', the MLA from Khanpur in Haridwar district said this in a local public event.

Earlier this month, Singh had allegedly opened fire during a dinner party in which two young persons, including a former student leader, were injured. The reason behind the firing is not known and the police are still probing the incident.

Union water resources minister Harish Rawat, a Congress politician from the state refused to comment when asked whether action will be taken against Singh for his remarks.

Singh is also the chairman of the forest development corporation.
