The Tamil Nadu Asembly has 234 seats.

The DMDK will contest in 104 seats, MDMK in 29, TMC in 26 and the rest in 25

Vijaykanth, who joined the PWF alliance last month, is its chief ministerial candidate. The DMDK was earlier set to contest in 124 seats but reduced the number after the TMC joined. The TMC refused to go with the AIADMK after initial talks as the latter wanted it to contest on the two-leaves symbol.

Earlier on Saturday, Tamil Nadu Congress chief EVKS Elangovan urged the TMC to merge with the Congress again.
