Chennai, Oct 24: As forcasted by the Met department, Chennai and other areas of Tamil Nadu witnessed heavy rainfall in the last few days.
The Met office has again forecasted more rains in South Tamil Nadu, Puducherry during the next 24 to 48 hours as the North East monsoon has been active over the last few days.
"Isolated heavy to very heavy rain may occur over the South Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Isolated heavy rain may occur over North Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, Kerala during the next 24 to 48 hours", the Met office said.
For Chennai and its neighbourhood, the forecast would be generally cloudy. Rain or thundershower may occur in some areas, it said.
