Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is said to have undergone a minor surgery soon after a cardiac arrest on Sunday. The minor surgery was successfull and the leader is currently under observation according to sources.
Party Spokesperson C R Saraswati also said that the leader underwent a minor procedure on late Sunday night and doctors informed the party that she was recovering. "As she was all set to return home, Amma suffered a cardiac arrest. She underwent a minor procedure and doctors tell us that there is nothing to worry about", she said. The 68 year old leader was put on an extracorporeal membrane heart assist device, a life support system that aids heart and lung functioning on Sunday.
