A 40 year old AIADMK worker died after he developed chest pain while watching the news on Jayalalithaa's health. The man identified as Neelakandan, a resident of Cuddalore, died enroute to the hospital on Monday morning.

Neelakandan was a member of AIADMK's district unit. The man is said to have suffered chest pain while watching updates on Jayalalithaa's health on television news channels. His family members called for 108 ambulance and attempted to reach the hospital in time. Neelakandan died even before the ambulance could ferry him to the nearest hospital.
Supporters and fans of Jayalalithaa have been prayers for the leader's recovery and many have camped outside the Apollo hospital in Chennai while many others have rushed to AIADMK district headquarters and party offices to keep a tab on Jayalalithaa's health.
