Don't attack Chinnamma: AIADMK defends Sasikala against rumours
AIADMK spokesperson Ponnaiyan in a press conference without naming Sasikala said, "Amma was admitted due to lung infection. Holding someone responsible for this (her death) can't be accepted."
The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam on Saturday defended Sasikala whilst rubbishing all speculations of her having anything to do with Jayalalithaa's failing health before her passing.
AIADMK spokesperson Ponnaiyan in a press conference without naming Sasikala said, "Amma was admitted due to lung infection. The best doctors treated her. Holding someone responsible for this (her death) can't be accepted."
The statement comes at a time when speculations of Sasikala poisoning Jayalalithaa have been doing the rounds.

"Don't attack Chinnamma. She is a good party leader. She has risen in the party as an active member," Ponnaiyan added, defending Sasikala who doesn't hold even a primary membership of the party.

The AIADMK spokesperson also added that the party would elect a general secretary shortly and it will be an unanimous decision. He rubbished speculations of rifts within the party.
