Narendra Modi launched Shourie's book titled Self Deception: India's China Policies at the event.
Shourie added that Modi's new phrase ‘Nayi Soch Nayi Ummeed' is a new way of thinking. Speaking about the foreign policies and the problems that the country is currently facing, Shourie said that the current problem (Pakistan) is manageable. China is a bigger problem. Deception is a recognised tool of statecraft for China, he said.
