70-year-old dies waiting in queue to withdraw money in Thanjavur

Just as he was nearing the counter to withdraw money, a 70 year old man fell unconscious and died before help could reach him in Papanasam in Tamil Nadu. The man was waiting for his turn at the Indian bank with his wife when he fell unconscious and died.
Subramanian, a farm help, had come to withdraw Rs 4,000 from his account. Just as he reached the bank counter, he collapsed. Even as people around tired to revive him and a doctor was rushed for help, he had died.

The 70 year old is said to have had health complications earlier. The local police arranged for his body to be moved to his hometown in Vaazhakai.
