Narendra Modi unveils 5 F formula in Punjab (Pics)
Ludhiana, April 26: BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Friday lashed out at the Congress and asked people to vote for a decisive government for the sake of the nation. He said the Congress would not touch double digit in any state.
Modi, who addressed five back-to-back rallies across Punjab as part of the Bharat Vijay rally series, took up issues specific to the constituencies he visited. He spoke on issues like narco-terrorism, industries and farmers' suicides in the cotton belt. Talking on drug smuggling, he also warned Pakistan against sinister designs to destroy the youth of this nation.
Modi said in Bhatinda that neither the jawan nor the kisan in India is happy and unveiled a 5 F formula (farm, fibre, fabric, fashion and foreign countries) for the cotton belt and said it would help change the farmers' lives and that their products will reach foreign soils earning them dividends.
In Pathankot, Modi campaigned for actor-politician Vinod Khanna and took up the issue of drugs. He said the BJP would address this issue after coming to power. He also praised Khanna for his simple living and connecting to people in his constituency Gurdaspur.
In Hoshiarpur too, Modi raked up the drugs issue, saying every mother in Punjab was scared of her son getting attracted to drugs. He also addressed the issue of wastage of surplus grain.
In Amritsar, Modi canvassed for party candidate Arun Jaitley in a big rally. Here, he also welcomed Daljit Singh Kohli, the stepbrother of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who joined the BJP.
Thirteen Lok Sabha constituencies of Punjab will go to the election on April 30.
