However, on the eve of the event in Rewari, about 90 kilometres from here, state power minister Ajay Singh Yadav took a dig at Modi while some unidentified people tarnished posters of the Gujarat chief minister.
Yadav said the performance of Congress-ruled Haryana is better than Gujarat in key areas, including social welfare schemes, and there was nothing for the state to learn from Modi's governance model in Gujarat.
He said the Gujarat government's track record in facilitating freedom fighters and ex-servicement is quite ordinary compared to that of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government of Haryana.
