Honour killing: 15-year-old girl brutally murdered, burnt in Haryana

Chandigarh, Oct 24: In a suspected case of honour killing, a 15-year-old Muslim girl was brutally murdered by cutting her into pieces, burnt and then her body parts were buried at locations reportedly by her relatives in Panchkula district of Haryana.

According to a report, the inhumane incident took place in Khangesra village of Barwala block in Panchkula.

The girl, identified as Tahira, was reportedly killed a month ago for having an affair with a boy. After knowing about her alleged affair, her parents, Shaukeen and Wahida, sent Tahira to her paternal uncle Saleem's house in Khangesra, two months ago, in an attempt to keep her away from her lover.

The Chandimandir police claims to have recovered the half-burnt body of the girl and her clothes near Tangri river. The remains of the body have been sent for post-mortem in Rohtak.

The girl was brutally killed for having an affair with a boy.

Police has also arrested seven family members in connection with the case, including her uncle Saleem, who is suspected to be the main accused behind killing of the girl.

During police interrogation, Saleem has reportedly confessed to have killed the girl. Police has booked him under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The family is said to be the native of Kikrana village in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The further investigation in the case is going on.
