Hyderabad, Oct 14: YuppTV, an internet based TV streaming service provider, launched its service in India on Oct 14. The event was held in Hyderabad.

Telangana minister KT Rama Rao, cricket legend Brian Lara and popular Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra were present at the event.

YuppTV, the World's largest Over-The-Top (OTT) provider for Indian content, entered the Indian market with 200+ Channels in 12 languages.

Apart from the Live TV experience that viewers get, YuppTV offers Catch-Up TV technology for the first time in India whereby viewers can watch TV content from past 7 days and never miss their favourite Shows.

Viewers will also have access to more than 5,000 movies and hundreds of TV Shows on their TV at the click of a button.

As part of the Video-On-Demand (VOD) service, YuppTV has over 25,000 hours of video content in its catalogue and 2,500 hours more is added every day.

YuppTV brings some unique features to India that enhances TV viewing experience. For the first time in the industry, real time recommendations are provided to the viewers on most trending Live TV Channels using advanced analytics.

YuppTV introduces Timeshift technology that enables broadcasters to provide viewers capability to pause and rewind live TV for upto 2 hours.

If viewers are late for a TV Show, they can watch the same from beginning using this Start Over feature.

YuppTV service is accessible on multiple internet enabled devices - Smart TVs, Smart phones, Tablets and also on the Web. YuppTV app can be downloaded on any Android & iOS devices and has a potential to reach more than 200 million smartphone users.
