According to a report, Sachin has denied the speculations that he will be a star campaigner for the MP Congress.
Sachin was quoted as saying to the Haryana Cricket Association on Monday, "I have no plans to campaign for or join any political party. My only focus is my last two matches for which I am preparing here."
However, another report on Saturday claimed that Sachin has agreed to be a part of election campaigns for the MP Congress and will address nine election rallies before Nov 25.
Last year, Sachin Tendulkar, Rekha and industrialist Anu Aga were nominated as the Rajya Sabha members by the ruling- UPA government.
The list of the "star campaigners" for the MP Congress features the names of Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood actresses Rekha, Raveena Tandon and Nagma.
Congress is reaching out to Bollywood actors to topple Chouhan's govt in MP.
Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan will be a part of the Election campaigns for the Congress, is still unsure.
The party spokesperson Pramod Dugalia said that the VIP protocol department of AICC was in touch with both the celebrities (Rekha and Shahrukh Khan) and their consents are being awaited.
Earlier, Union Minister and Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia had said that he would request Sachin to campaign for the Congress party in the state.
Rajiv Shukla denies on Sachin's reports of campaigning for MP Congress
BCCI vice-president and Congress MP Rajiv Shukla termed all such reports as "baseless". He told an agency, "Sachin Tendulkar is busy playing cricket at the moment. He is playing in the Ranji Trophy and will later play for India against the West Indies. So the reports of him campaigning for Congress candidates are completely baseless."
"Such stories are misleading and Sachin campaigning for us is untrue. He has to play matches how can he take time out for election campaigning," he said.
"We cant predict the future. Sachin is the finest cricketer in the country and after retirement he will pursue whatever he likes. We cant influence him", he added.
BJP mocks at MP Congress star campaigners
The BJP minister Kailash Vijayvargiya mocked at the MP Congress choice of star campaigners. He told a news channel, "Rekha can influence Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin can play cricket but they cannot garner votes for Congress."
