Rahul Gandhi interacts with women in MP
Bhopal, Jan 20: AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Monday interacted with All India Women Congress Workers here, where the women put forth their suggestions for the Congress manifesto.

Gandhi addressing the meet said that the must be equality for women across all sectors. Calling for women empowerment Rahul said: "Women don't need protection, they need their rights and their space.

We need to change the attitude towards women. Till women don't feel safe in the country, we can never be a super power ," he said.

In the run up to the Lok Sabha elections and seeking opinion on the party manifesto, Rahul said that 'earlier the manifestos were being drafted behind close doors. "But Congress has changed that practise. We want your views on it," he said.

"Every woman is an asset for India, we need to create opportunities for them," he said.

Speaking on a lighter note he said that his grandmother (Indira Gandhi). Women groups and activists from various parts of the country put forth their grievances ranging from increasing minimum wages for the domestic helps to seeking equal rights for the LGBT community.
