MP Congress leader commits suicide after being denied poll ticket
According to reports, 40-year-old Malviya wished to contest elections from the Agar constituency of Agar Malwa district. However, Congress gave ticket to another candidate, Madhu Gehlot.
The 'depressed' Malviya then took the extreme step of ending his life as his hopes of contesting elections were dashed.

He was rushed to a hospital in Ujjain in a serious condition, where he succumbed, police said.
Narsingh, a former Zila Panchayat member in the district party unit, was said to be a strong supporter of Congress MP Sajjan Singh Verma, who also stated that the leader was under depression after he was refused a ticket to contest the elections.
Malviya was associated with Congress party since past two decades and had never contested the state elections.
Another MP Congress leader resigns
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Congress vice-president Manak Agrawal stepped down to protest party ticket to former Union minister Suresh Pachouri, whom he accused of corruption.
Pachauri will contest from Bhojpur constituency and face BJP's sitting MLA Surendra Patwa.
