MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan pledges to 'save water' on Twitter
"Rain water harvesting and recharge of groundwater sources shall be implemented, and be made mandatory for all agencies in MP," Chouhan tweeted yesterday.
For accurate water management methods, MP will make a paradigm shift from overwhelming dependence on ground water to surface water source, he tweeted. "On World Water Day, let us pledge to follow simple and effective ways to conserve precious water to aid future generations," he further said.
The chief minister also said that the Narmada-Malwa water linking project is a major initiative to provide surface water to rural and urban habitations in Malwa region.
