MP CM, his wife marry off their adopted daughter
Bhopal, Feb 12: Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna on Thursday married off their adopted daughter Sona Mehra (22) who was raised in their shelter at Vidisha since she was 8.
The wedding was held in Vidisha's Barhwale Ganesh temple in the presence of Swami Awdheshanand and Padit Devprabhakar Shastri among others.
The Chouhan couple runs Maa Sunderdevi Ashram for orphaned girls and Sona became its fourth inmate in 2000.
Sona is working as an Anganwadi worker and her husband Trilokchand Mehra, a resident of Baktara village, is a JCB driver employed with a private construction company.
The wedding was performed in a traditional manner and Chouhans, including their son Kartikey, performed the rituals.
Chouhan's Cabinet colleagues and a large number of people attended the ceremony.
