Bhopal, March 29: If Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister of India, then he and I will work together for my state's development, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in a Google Hangout on Saturday. He said the UPA government at the Centre had always created obstacles for his state's development.

He said  it is not right that one person has become bigger than the party in the BJP, adding that all are working together. Chouhan said this when asked about the internal turmoil in the BJP which recently came to the open over allocation of poll tickets.

Narendra Modi is in my heart, Shivraj Singh Chouhan replied to a question

Chouhan said his government has brought a lot of development in Madhya Pradesh, particularly in the power sector. He said the state also has the capacity now to resolve other states' power woes. He said good work has been done in fields of agriculture, employment for tribals, though adding that more work needs to be done in education and health.

When one of the participants asked whether the education in MP is more growth-oriented, Chouhan said the scenario today is much better than what it was earlier.

One question was: "Why there is no photo of Narendra Modi on the wall behind Chouhan?" It only had photographs of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Lal Krishna Advani and Swami Vivekananda.

To this, Chouhan said one need not be worried about that. "Narendra Modi is in my heart," he said with a grin.

CNN-IBN's Bhupendra Choubey conducted the event.
