Bangalore: Yeddyurappa reveals his real decision on joining BJP
After a core party meeting in Bangalore, Yeddyurappa said, "We have unanimously decided that we will not be merging with BJP or any party but will support NDA."
Earlier it was reported that Yeddyurappa would join hands with BJP in Karnataka. BJP, which had lost power to Congress, has been trying to regain its power asking Yeddyurappa to re-join the party.
The Lingayat leader, however, refused to accept the offer by BJP which earlier had forced him to resign as Karnataka CM following few corruption charges against him.
KJP to support NDA in Lok Sabha elections
Yeddyurappa, who quit BJP in Dec 2012, floated his new party - Karnataka Janata Party (KJP). Yeddyurappa is believed to be a strong supporter of BJP PM candidate Narendra Modi. It is believed that Yeddyurappa made decision of supporting NDA citing Modi's recent elevation.
Despite LK Advani's reservation on the announcement on Modi, BJP President Rajnath Singh and other parliamentary board members of the party had gone ahead declaring Modi the party's PM candidate,
