Balakrishnan: In 2014, India will get independence from corruption

Bangalore, Mar 14: Former Infosys CFO and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate from Bangalore Central, V Balakrishnan on Friday held his first Jana Sabha where he addressed a small group of people in Ashoknagar.

Speaking to the people here he said: "The city and the country has a lot of problems. From garbage issue to unemployment, there are a lot of problems and there are solutions to these problems. Its just that the solutions are not being implemented well."

Speaking about the current political scenario, he said that there was need for a clean governance today.

Focussing on the AAP, he said that AAP was dedicated on making the country corruption free. "There is rampant corruption in the country and AAP is trying to uproot the evil of corruption," he said.

Balakrishnan: AAP has started a revolution in the country

He said that the AAP had started a revolution in the country. "The dates of 1947 and 2014 are almost the same. AAP has started a revolution in the country. In 2014, India will get independence from corruption," he said.

He said the reason why he joined politics was because he wanted a change in the system. "I don't need money, I don't need power. I want a change in the system. We have to change the implementation of policies and solutions to our problems," he said.
