Unrest in Gadag district over Mahadayi tribunal verdict
Gadag (Karnataka), July 28: Karnataka is disappointed by the verdict of the Mahadayi tribunal, which went in favour of Goa and Maharashtra. While a state-wide bandh has been declared on Saturday, July 30, various parts of the state are under fire.
Gadag district, for instance, witnessed a major unrest as protesters set a BSNL office and a municipality office on fire. Government property and vehicles were also destroyed and set on fire.
Meanwhile, two students are reported to have attempted committing suicide and have been admitted to the KIMS hospital in Hubbali. Four people have been arrested in Naragund.
