Bengaluru, Oct 20: Janardhan Reddy, mine baron and former Karnataka minister does things that are usually larger than life. For his daughter, Brahmani's wedding, he has sent out a unique wedding invitation with an LCD screen.
When the box opens up, you can see an LCD screen light on. A text first announces, "Brahmani weds Rajeev Reddy." This is then followed by a full fledged video where Janardhan Reddy is seen singing 'Atithi Devobhava' along with his wife and son.
There are a lot of special effects added to the video in the invitation for the big fat November wedding. Slow motion scenes with the bride and the bridegroom being introduced are all part of this video.
Janardhan Reddy was a minister in the B S Yeddyurappa led-BJP government in 2011. He got into trouble in the mining scam and spent three years in jail. He is currently out on conditional bail.
The video in the invitation card has gone viral. The wedding is scheduled for November 16 and will be held at the Bengaluru Palace. Over 10,000 guests are expected to attend the event.
Janardhan Reddy, who was granted bail in January 2015, has been prohibited from visiting his home town in Bellary. However, the bail condition has been relaxed between November 1 and 21 to facilitate his visit to his home town so that he can invite family and friends apart from taking part in the post wedding rituals.
