Bengaluru, June 19: Mango is a favourite fruit for all of us. We often rush to the market during the summer to grab the king of fruit. But when the fruit itself comes to us, the fun is more.
Meet Khalim, the man who sells mangoes at a crossing in Jayanagar 3rd Block after bringing them in a three-wheeler van which is owned by Chand Pasha, who assists him in selling the fruit.
The mangoes are brought in tied boxes and each of them weigh 8 kilograms and are priced at Rs 300.
"We buy them from the local market and bring them here for sale," Khalim said.
But why do you sell it in Jayanagar 3rd Block only? "Because, it is a very busy place and all my boxes vanish in no time," he replied.
Khalim sells 8-9 boxes of mangoes whenever he comes to Jayanagar in his three-wheeler. However, mango is not the only fruit that he sells. Khalim gets seasonal fruits to sell at the same crossing, be it mangoes, oranges and apples and all of them sell like hot cakes.
