Mangalyaan success: Narendra Modi congratulates ISRO, says MOM never disappoints
Speaking from ISTRAC, Modi congratulated the scientists and said that ISRO scientists have achieved the impossible. "India is the only country to have succeeded the first time. ISRO joins the elite group of only 3 other nations. Within just three years, ISRO has completed this great job."
Moments after ISRO received confirmation on Mangalyaan entering the Mars orbit, Modi congratulated all the scientists and said 'today, Earth has met the Mars. MoM has met Mangal.'
"With scarce resources our great scientists have achieved it. I am really proud. We have gone beyond the boundaries. The odds were staked against us. Of the total 51 missions across the World, just 21 missions have been successful."
He added that what we have done today is 1000 times bigger than achievement of our cricket team.
Praising the hardworking scientists, Modi urged everyone across the country to acknowledge their hardwork. "Through your achievements, you have honoured our fore-fathers, and inspired our future generations. Today all of India should celebrate our scientists. Schools, colleges should applaud this.
Modi said: "Let today's success drive us with greater vigour and conviction. Let's set ourselves, even more challenging goals."
