He also campaigned in the area next to Sarakki. He was seen interacting with senior citizens, young adults and young professionals. Accompanying him were U.B. Venkatesh, Youth Congress President Rizwan Arshad, and several other party leaders.
The residents of Jayanagar Assembly constituency were positive about their area, but voiced concern as well. "This used to be one of the city's best planned residential areas.But if you look deeper even this is getting worse. The rampant commercialization has changed the charm of the city now" says Srinivasa Murthy, a bank employee. "We need a man who can think and provide for us at this scale" he added.
Nandan also paid a visit to the famous Vinayaka Temple in Jayanagar 4th block to seek blessings. He ended his walk at 'Maiyas' where he had a dosa, and interacted with more residents and journalists.
Nandan also met Retired Chief Justice Shri M. N. Venkatachaliah at his house. Starting from Deepanjalinagar, he visited ITI Layout,Vinayaka Layout, Nayandahalli, Skyline Apartment in Chandra Layout, Prashant Nagar, Hoshalli, RPC Layout and finally Vijayanagar. Thousands of residents interacted with Nandan asking him questions about Bengaluru's development.
"The traffic in Mysore Road is very hectic all the time.Something needs to be done. We want you to quicken the Metro process here as soon as you come to power" said Anuradha, resident of Chandra Layout.
