Nandan Nilekani continues rigorous campaigning in Bangalore
Nandan kicked off his day today by taking an early morning walk with Yediyur Lake area residents, followed by a visit to Rose Garden Park. He then had his morning cup of coffee at the Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Hotel (SLV) in Banashankari 2nd Stage. He also paid a visit to the Devgiri temple.
Later in the day, Nandan visited the Ragi Gudda slum. People gave him a very warm welcome as they shared their hopes and concerns with him. He also met nearly three hundred residents in Jayanagar.
"He is probably one of the most educated individuals who has visited us. His simplicity and honesty are good to see. My vote is for Nandan," said Shantamma, 65, a resident of Ragi Gudda.
"I had met Nandanji along with a bunch of my auto driver friends. I feel like he is the right person who can hear our problems and do something about them. We need amenities like health care and life insurance, that will make our lives simpler and safer. He is the person who can give these to us," says Ravi, an auto driver.
Nandan also met two literary legends of Bengaluru to seek their blessings. Film maker, screen-play writer and a prominent litterateur Baragur Ramchandrappa and K. Marulasidappa, an exponent of drama and a writer.
Nandan will continue to campaign in the rest of the assembly constituencies of Bengaluru South.
