Bengaluru, Nov 30: A video purportedly showing a Muslim family being asked to leave a movie theatre, because they did not stand during the national anthem, has gone viral on social media.
In the video it is seen that audience members ask the family to leave the theatre as they did not stand for the national anthem. The video which was uploaded on Youtube was however, deleted later on.
The video posted on Facebook was shared over 2,500 times.
In the video it is seen that the audience members break into applause once the family leaves the theatre. However it is yet to be ascertained where the incident took place.
However, according to a ruling in 2005, the Supreme Court said that if a person does not stand in attention during the national anthem, is does not amount to crime.
