Meet the Acharyan talent who won hearts at Singapore dance show

Bangalore, Nov 12: His vision was to aim for high in art and culture activities, M.Com student Dilip from Acharya Institute of Graduate Studies was a part of Aane Gudda Ganapathi (AGG) troop which recently participated in a dance show in Singapore.

He was a part of 17-member team which represented India in the show which was hosted by the collaboration of Asian theatre group which encourages talents in art and culture across the globe.

Teams from UK, US, China and from many other countries participated in the show and AGG troop was the Indian representative which presented a dance show to the Bollywood number in contemporary style.

The event also hosted a workshops in art and culture mainly focusing on theater activities, dance, skit shows, street drama, music and other. "It was a thrilling experience and I thank AGG Director Dr. Poornima by whom we got a chance to give a show in Singapore and it is a most prestigious moment that we represented our country and I would like to thank my friends who always encouraged me", said Dilip.

He also said that we have been to many places and given many shows but the show in Singapore was most elated as the people over their were so humble and respectful and even shared their ideas.

He also thanked Acharya Institutes for the support and the encouragement. Dilip is also one of the main coordinator of Acharya Institutes art and cultural club "ALEY" which was inaugurated recently, encouraging young talents in the field of theater activities, dance, songs, music and so on he also hosts shows for Sun Networks "Chintu TV".

Dilip received the best actor's award in the state level drama competition organised jointly by Karnataka Nataka Academy, Bharath Yatra Kendra and Bangalore University. He was also was selected for final round of national level drama competition organised by Jain university, am part of many other professional and amateur theatre teams of Bangalore. He has also performed in many street plays to raise social awareness and also conducted folk dance workshops for schools and colleges.
