Karnataka bandh: Let Bengaluru breathe easy for a day, says 1 among several tweets
Bengaluru, April 18: A 12-hour strike was called in Karnataka on Saturday by pro-Kannada outfits to protest Tamil Nadu's objection to Mekedatu drinking water project across the Cauvery River, which serves as a lifeline to social and commercial lives of the two neighbouring states of South India.
Although many citizens had a tough time reaching their destinations during the day since transportation took a serious beating and the administration tried its best to keep things in order, there were also voices that felt that this bandh gave Bengaluru a day to breathe easy.
Here is what the Twitterati said on the Karnataka bandh:
#KarnatakaBandh
forget
about
pros
and
cons.
Bangalore
truly
deserves
a
day's
off.
Let
the
city
breath
freely
at
least
for
a
day.
