Isha Handa

Mumbai-based Isha, who was living in Bengaluru from last five years, was found dead near Tony Apartment complex at Sobha Classic, Haralur Main Road, off Sarjapur Road, around 8 pm, on Sunday, Aug 30.

None of the 260 residents could identify Isha as a known person.

Isha's online searches throw some light

According to a report published in Bangalore Mirror, Isha browsed over 89 websites on her smartphone and recced city's high rise buildings.

Forensic experts say that she searched for 'how to commit suicide' and the 'best and most effective method' to do so.

Initial investigations have revealed that Isha had been planning to end her life from last 48 hours.

To commit suicide, Isha considered various methods such as jumping in front of a moving train, consuming poison, overdosing on sleeping pills, hanging by a rope, drowning, electrocution, asphyxiation, and jumping off a building.

Isha finally decided to jump off the building for which she did an extensive research. She also researched the way she would jump - diving headfirst or just plummeting down.

What happened on Sunday, Aug 30?

On Sunday, Isha hired a cab to Sarjapur and began looking for a high-rise building. As Sobha Classic is a newly-constructed building, Isha might have thought that security would be lax there.

Before leaving her house around 4 pm, Isha had informed her room mates that she is going out for a personal work and would take long time in returning back.

250 grams of marijuana, some white pills and a rope were recovered from Isha's bag, police officials told.

Isha's jump was so impactful that her body was broken into pieces and doctors had a tough time while conducting her autopsy.

Investigation on

Police had registered a case of unnatural death at HSR Layout and is investigating what drove Isha to take the extreme step.

A senior police officer was quoted saying as to Deccan Chronicle, "There was no suicide note, but there were some ‘emotional' write-ups in her diary and a couple of Whatsapp messages that are being probed."

Police has not ruled out love affair angle behind Isha's death. However, her friends and room-mates have told Police officials that Isha was in a relationship, but it was going through a patchy phase.

It has been learnt that Isha's parents had been telling her to get married.

Isha was a popular face among Bengaluru's theatre circle. She was also a founding team member of StayGlad, a mobile-based beauty salon app. Isha was staying in Domlur with two of her friends.
