IAS officer's death: The CBI team which will probe the case
Bengaluru, March 27: A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation will leave for Bangalore to probe the D K Ravi death case. The team would comprise DIG Senkathir and SP of the Special Branch Sarvanan.
The two officers will be assisted by a few other officers of the CBI from Chennai which houses the homicide wing. They are expected to land in Bengaluru anytime soon and commence probing the matter.
CBI will start by registering cases
The CBI as per the procedure would first register a case and then would meet with the CID which is investigating the case. They would take over the documents and all other materials related to the case before they commence the probe.
The CBI would then issue notices to all the witnesses in the case and later question them. The CBI would go into various aspects which would include the motive also. It would be an open ended probe.
State acted under pressure
The state government had come under immense pressure following the death of D K Ravi. The state has already concluded that it was suicide due to personal reasons.
The opposition however states that it was foul play and could be murder which led to his death.
