Karnataka IAS officer's death: No suicide note found

Bengaluru, March 16: The police have booked a case of death caused under mysterious circumstances in the D K Ravi case.

Ravi, the additional commissioner in the commercial taxes department was found dead at his apartment under mysterious circumstances earlier on Monday.

The police have taken into custody his personal assistant and driver for questioning. The police say that they suspect it is a case of suicide.

Officer returned home early

Hari and had gone along with his wife to his father in law's house during the weekend. From there he went straight to the office this morning. However he returned home at around 11 AM today.

His wife made several attempts to call him all through the day. She had called his office but was told that he had left for home. She kept trying his number and when there was no answer she left for home only to find him dead.

No suicide note found

Investigating officers tell Oneindia that they have not found anything incriminating as yet. There has been no suicide note found as yet. They are now tracking his last call details and also the emails.

The police have not been able to question the family as yet as they are in deep shock. They will be questioned soon the police say.

The police have booked a case and are proceeding under the provisions of Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure which deals with death caused under mysterious circumstances.
