Bengaluru, April 27: Two days after a double murder case of an old couple came to light in Fraser Town area of Bengaluru, the police, on Tuesday, April 26 solved the mysterious case.
According to reports, highly decomposed bodies of an elderly couple was found inside their residence at Coles Road in Fraser Town.
61-year-old Parvatharaju and his 55-year-old wife Chandrakala were on Sunday night, found dead inside their residence at third floor. Police suspected that the couple was killed for money.
The police officials investigating the case on Tuesday arrested an electrician in connection with the case and the search is on to find his aide, who is absconding.
The arrested accused has been identified as Premchand Jain, a reisdent of KG Halli and his accomplice is Chandrashekar, who is still on large.
During the interrogation, Jain confessed to have murdered the couple on Friday night and fled with Rs 6,000 cash and gold jewelery.
Other accused Chandrashekar had asked Jain for money, as his brother-in-law had committed suicide in Delhi and he needed money urgently to reach there.
As Jain knew the couple from last 15 years, he thought they will help him out. On Thursday morning, he, alongwith Chandrashekar reached their home and asked for Rs 50,000, but Chandrakala told them to give money only on mortgage of gold.
In a fit of rage, the duo conspired to kill the couple and to loot their house. On Friday, both reached their house and stabbed them to death and fled away with money and valuables.
The police could trace the killers because of the couple's relative Nagaraj, who was at their residence, when the duo came, but he left as he did not find them to be suspicious of committing a crime.
The couple is survived by their only son, who lives in the US.
