Bengaluru, Aug 4: "Welcome to our valet service. Available even during peak rush hours. Leave your vehicle anywhere and we will be there to serve." This was a tweet put out by Abhishek Goyal, Bengaluru's Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic East Division.

The tweet has in fact left Twitterati in splits with many commending the way the officer put across the message.

Controlling B'luru traffic with humour

The officer decided to add some humour to an otherwise boring message which should have read, "Don't park in no parking zones or else your car will be towed away by the police." In his tweet there is a picture of a car being towed.

His tweets received several messages. Some said: "Loved the way you communicated this." Another reply read, "Seldom we see such messages with humour from people in khakhi. Good one sir. Yeh dil maange more."

The job of the traffic police in Bengaluru is tedious. Many officers complain about the long working hours and the arguments that they get into with commuters who try to get away after breaking the law. In such a scenario the tweet by the officer does provide that needed sense of humour. Keep going officer.
