Congress MP Ramya attacks Modi on twitter ahead of Bangalore rally
Narendra Modi is scheduled to hold a rally in Bangalore on 17th November.
At a time when celebrity endorsement for the BJP's 2014 prime minister candidate Narendra Modi is steadily growing, on Sunday, Divya Spandana, also known as Ramya, the Congress representative from Mandya, took offence to a recent historically incorrect speech by Modi, to the extent that she called him a liar on a public platform - her micro-blog that has nearly two lakh followers, reported TOI.
"I mean, why does he lie again and again," she wrote in response to an article about Modi's speech in which he mixed up revolutionary Shyamji Krishna Verma and Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

Her tweet drew immediate responses, both in her favour as well as a few against. She even responded to one that said, "Modi may have misnamed today, but he knows our history better than any of the so called real congress leaders. He speaks from his heart, he doesn't read from written speech like current PM or shehzada (congress nominated pm)," with her reply, "how does that matter? Atleast there are no lies!!! I rather read something out than mislead people!"
Divya Spandana, known by her stage name Ramya, is an Indian film actress and Member of Parliament from Mandya constituency in Karnataka.
