Karnataka Chief Minister on Monday said that he will ask Cyber Cell of CID to probe allegations of his Minister watching obscene pictures. Tanveer Sait was caught on camera watching obscene pictures during Tipu Jayanthi celebrations in Raichur.
Karnataka Minister for Primary and Secondary education Tanveer Sait had met the Chief Minister on Sunday to give an explanation about the allegations. "Tanveer doesn't seem to have committed any wrong at face value. However, I will ask the CID cyber cell to probe the matter. High command has been appraised of the situation and Tanveer has given me an explanation", said Siddaramaiah.
The porngate controversy has landed Sait in a soup with congress' senior leadership also asking for a report on the same. "Senior leadership has been informed of the incident involving Tanveer Sait but no written report has been given. It is our responsibility to appraise the high command of such incidents. Let the probe conclude. We will give a final report to the senior leadership after the probe", said Dr G Parameshwar, KPCC President and Karnataka's Home Minister.
Tanveer Sait has already sued television news channels for telecasting footage of him scrolling through obscene pictures during a public event. He has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.
