Bengaluru, May 2: Bengaluru was considered as one of the safe cities for women, but there have been incidents of crime against women in the IT city, that has snatched away this prestigious tag.
Today, a shocking video from a CCTV footage was shown on news channels, showing how a man grabbed a 22-year-old woman from behind and abducted her. The woman was on a call in front of her paying guest (PG) accommodation in Katriguppe near Banashankari in south Bengaluru.
The bone-chilling sent shock-waves across the city, showing how women are not safe here.
The victim, identified as Anusha, alleged in front of media that she was molested. As per the victim, the man tried to rape her near an under-construction building. The incident took place on Saturday, April 23.
While narrating her ordeal, the victim said that she bit on accused man's hand in an attempt to escape from his clutches. When she raised an alarm by shouting, some passers-by rushed for her help.
After the horrific incident, the PG owner also told girl not to file a police complaint. However, she approached C.K. Achukattu police station and filed a complaint but no police action has been taken so far.

The victim reportedly works with a private beauty clinic in Kalyan Nagar.
Meanwhile, as the incident spread like a fire in media, a minister from Bengaluru called the incident as an "exaggeration" and on the other hand, city activists demanded an action into the abduction and molestation case.
