Bengaluru, Dec 22: In a case of robbery, a 50-year-old woman was attacked with a pepper-spray, by a gang of five miscreants on Sunday, Dec 20, in Bengaluru.
According to reports, the shocking incident was reported from Malleswaram 6th cross, when an English-speaking gang, armed with knives, stormed inside a woman's house.
The burglars fled away with valuables, when they got to know that woman's husband is about to reach home.
The theft took place when the victim, Nagalakshmi, was alone at her home around 2.30 pm, as her husband, 55-year-old Sampath Kumar had gone to market with their servant.
The gang ransacked the house after attacking woman with a pepper-spray and they also allegdly tied her hands and legs. Following the incident, the couple filed a complaint at a police station.
The police suspect it's a case of insider rivalry, as the gang had duplicate keys of their home. Nagalakshmi, who was in shock and trauma, was taken to hospital.
